In the summer and fall of 2018, the City of Grand Marais, Cook County, and Sawtooth Mountain Clinic through the Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP) convened a steering committee to collect community input and to develop a pedestrian plan for the Grand Marais community.

To best reflect community desires, the Grand Marais Pedestrian Plan is being guided by community input. In September, public input was collected using interactive public input posters, which were hosted at the following locations:  Grand Marais City Hall, Cook County Courthouse, Grand Marais Public Library, Cook County Community YMCA, and Sawtooth Mountain Clinic. An online input opportunity was also available. A report of all input collected can be accessed here.

The draft Grand Marais Pedestrian Plan document is now available for review and public comment. To provide your thoughts about investing in pedestrian-related improvements and your feedback on the plan document, please complete and submit this form: https://goo.gl/forms/bYoWRyQWdCBrKJun2. A link to the full plan document for your review is made available within the form.

Funding for this project is provided in part by the Center for Prevention at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota. The Grand Marais community is partnering with the City of Grand Marais, Cook County, and Sawtooth Mountain Clinic/SHIP to produce this plan.
