During the fall of 2018, Grand Marais is developing a pedestrian plan. A pedestrian plan identifies the transportation needs of people moving at a walking pace and provides strategies to address those needs.

To best reflect community desires, the Grand Marais Pedestrian Plan is being guided by community input. This input is being collected with interactive public input posters, which are being hosted at the following locations during the first half of September:  Grand Marais City Hall, Cook County Courthouse, Grand Marais Public Library, Cook County Community YMCA, and Sawtooth Mountain Clinic. For those unable to visit one of the posters, an online input opportunity is also available by clicking here.

Funding for this project is provided in part by the Center for Prevention at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota. The City of Grand Marais is partnering with Sawtooth Mountain Clinic/SHIP and Cook County to produce this plan.

Look for our community input posters around town during the first half of September!
